Insuring that Your Top People Are Top-notch

To avoid hiring a previous employer's "problem" or to reduce costly "mis-hires," many companies find it advantageous to conduct background checks on their prospective new-hires and management candidates.

PLE Security & Investigation provides comprehensive Background Checks, which include a written report encompassing an Investigative Summary, Candidate's Background Narrative, and Records Review Exhibits.

Information gathered for an Executive Background Check is compiled by utilizing our extensive computer database and includes such information as:

  • Social Security Number Verification
  • Addresses Linked to Subject
  • Possible Liens, Judgments and Bankruptcies
  • Possible Corporate Affiliations
  • Education Verification
  • Driver's License Check
  • Credit Checks (with candidate's signed release in accordance with FCRA)
  • Criminal Arrest and/or Conviction Records

PLE Security & Investigation investigators can also interview the candidate's listed past employers and references, as well as any "developed references" discovered through the initial phases of the background investigation. Polygraph examinations and psychological testing are also available.

At a minimum, PLE recommends that a basic background investigation be conducted on all prospective new-hires. A basic check includes verification of the Social Security Number the applicant is using, identification of the states in which the applicant has lived and then perform criminal felony conviction checks in each of those states. Often, this type of check can be performed and reported back to the client the same day the request is made and typically costs less than $100.00.
